In Barbarians And The Necromancer's Tower you play a random generated barbarian who hates mages almost as much as he loves gold. Upon arriving in the village and sampling the tavern's wares, he hears of a nearby tower in which lives a particularly rich necromancer. Then he knows what needs to be done - climb the tower, kill the necromancer, get the treasure.

The game is an action-platformer in the style of the first two titles from the Castlevania saga. Using C to jump you can leap between platforms and defeat evil creatures with your sword. At the same time, there are plenty of power-ups that can increase your sword's length and power or turn your shield into a ranged weapon that deals heavy damage.

You can also collect skulls that can be used to throw knives and axes - which will deal extra damage or knock enemies back. There are also hidden treasures and healing fountains scattered throughout the castle.
